Dianne's birthday!

Last night we all went to dinner at Kobe in celebration of Dianne's birthday! The food was great and Madison loved all the clanging noise, fire and smoke.

Her first tooth....

... or maybe I should say teeth! It's taken her 11 months and one week to get some chompers, and it look like she may get a mouth full all at one time!

Her two top, front teeth have broken through the gum and the bottom front two feel like they will make their debut any day. So far, she is still sleeping well and they only real difference I've notice is she back off of solid foods and has wanted more formula- I guess I would too if I were her!

I must say, it made me a little sad when I realized the days of her big toothless smiles are about gone. She's growing up way too fast!

Taking a second to re-group

All of a sudden, today seems stressful. It's just 2pm, but I feel like I've climbed half of Mt Everest and I'm running out of daylight.

The morning started with a 1am phone call from the security service telling Rob someone had broken into the pharmacy. Te robbers didn't get much- just narcotics, both pill and syrup, but according to Rob, they made a nice mess breaking the glass in the front door with rocks.

Rob got back in bed at 3am

With the rain of tropical storm Ida forcasted all day, I decided to stay home and work on the pharmacy website and catch up on laundry. It's a good thing I did, because in the midst of the driving rain, our window in the study started to leak. The contractor is here now.

Left to mark off my To-Do list:
-laundry
-Madison's birthday invites
-straighten bedroom
-call Axcess
-go by the Bank- to refuse a charge for merchandise I ordered and never received
-get clothes from the cleaners

Great Cookbook

My Mom brought me this Taste of Home cookbook last time she was home and I just love it. I've dogeared at least 20 recipes for tailgate and holiday parties.
