My new, used car

I spent the yesterday afternoon and evening in Birmingham wheeling and dealing on cars and I came home with a 2006 BMW X3!

I'm a Honda girl, and I loved my Acura, but I was getting tired of fighting the trunk. This car is perfect. It drives very similar to may car and it doesn't feel big like Rob's Expedition. It has all the perks of my little car, but it's easier to get Madison in and out of.

First icecream cone

A blueberry kinda day

It's 2pm and the only thing Madison has eaten today is blueberries. It's not that I haven't offered her other options, she just only wants blueberries- and LOTS of them.

You know the girl in the movie Willy Wonka who swells up and turns blue, well that's what I'm afraid my child will look like by the end of the evening. Not to mention the surprises that might lurk in her diaper!

Cold sushi and Diet Coke

... that was lunch yesterday- when I originally started this post. I have some catching up to do, as I haven't actually written any copy for my posts in some time now. If you look back, you'll find that we spend New Year's in Gatlinburg, TN. Our scanner has been on the fritz so I'm just now getting to publish our tubing photos. We had so much fun!

It was a great way to ring in the new year. And since the first of the year, Madison's developmental skills have just flourished. She tries to repeat everything we say and her vocabulary is growing bigger by the day! She is also using sign language to communicate, but mostly about food. She still hasn't caught on to "please" and "thank you," but "more" is her favorite.

We have Jackson this weekend for the long MLK holiday, so we're headed up to White House to watch him play basketball Saturday morning. Rob is off all day Fri, so we're going to make an over-night trip of it, and hopefully see a few friends while we're up there.
