...home-grown of course!!
Yesterday, Rob and I got out and staked our tomato plants (something we probably should have done a week ago) and picked the first batch of okra off the vine. Some of the pods had gotten too big and too hard to salvage, but most of them were the perfect size for freezing! I can't wait to make vegetable soup and gumbo in the fall!
Despite my lack of attention, the tomatoes are growing great! I had thought about canning marinara sauce this year, but so far I'm eating them faster than they can ripen!

If we have a girl...
...she will come home from the hospital in these shoes!!
heežlaržižous [he-lair-ee-uhs] - noun: extremely funny, completely soft, fully functional high heel crib shoes for babies.
Not intended for walking (heel will collapse with weight).
Not intended to harm children in any way.
WARNING: May cause extreme smiling and hysterical laughter when in use (this is completely normal).
Yesterday, our family spent the morning out at the hospital where Rob's Dad had heart surgery. In total, the Dr did three cardiac stents and one balloon, which was a more than expected, but not near as bad as feared. Twelve years ago, Fish underwent 6 by-passes, but hasn't had any trouble since. It wasn't until a stress test a couple weeks ago came back positive, that Dr were alerted to another potential problem. I'm happy to say that he's home now, sore and sleepy, but well on his way to recovery.
