...home-grown of course!!Yesterday, Rob and I got out and staked our tomato plants (something we probably should have done a week ago) and picked the first batch of okra off the vine. Some of the pods had gotten too big and too hard to salvage, but most of them were the perfect size for freezing! I can't wait to make vegetable soup and gumbo in the fall!
Despite my lack of attention, the tomatoes are growing great! I had thought about canning marinara sauce this year, but so far I'm eating them faster than they can ripen!
