School Pictures

We got Jackson's school pictures back yesterday-- isn't he hansom! Thank goodness he still hasn't taken much of an interested in girls yet-- but I'm sure that's coming!!
If you look close, you can see that he has a pen in his shirt pocket-- I love it-- it looks so Rob!

I am so proud of all he is accomplishing this year. He's doing great in school-- all A's on his report card this time, and he's really liking tennis. He also says he wants to play basketball for his school, White House Middle- gosh it's hard to believe he's already in middle school!!

Dad and I are VERY proud of you Jackson Robert!

3-D

We went for our second try at the 3-D ultrasound yesterday, and sad to say, Miss Maddie still didn't cooperate! She is still breech, which makes the pictures tough to get, and she still had her hand over her face for the most parts. This photo was the best we got, and even it has her cord in front of her face! You can still make out all her features though- it's just not crystal clear like we would have liked!

Michael Buble Concert

Last night Rob, Dianne and I went to see Michael Buble at the BJCC-- he was, simple put, AMAZING. I knew I loved his music, but I had NO idea he was such an entertainer!

He preformed all of mine and Rob's favorite songs including "Everything" and "This Song's for You." He also previewed two new song from his up and coming album sometime next year! His opening act, Naturally 7 was great too!

Camping at Lake Lurleen

Jackson was on his mini-fall break this week, so we loaded up Gran and Pappa's camper and headed out to Lake Lurleen for the weekend. We actually stayed Thursday through Saturday and came back early Sunday in time for church. We had a great group of friends join us from our church and all the kids had a blast riding bike, and playing in the "big field".

I learned a valuable lesson about our dog Max though-- he is NOT a camper. He really didn't get along well with the other dogs and we ended up having to take him to EmergiPet this afternoon for an allergic reaction in his right eye. Poor, pitiful Max. He was extremely happy to be home, bathed, and sleeping in his bed this afternoon!

Tennis

Rob took the day off and headed to Tennessee to watch Jackson play tennis. I didn't get to go, but Rob said he really played great. He is so proud of his son! Jackson is doing great in school this year too. Sumner County Schools has their fall break this week so Jackson will be with us until Monday evening. I was so excited to see him last night when they finally got home!! He was too cute though, the first thing he wanted to do was feel Madison move and see what was new in the nursery.

Nursery Update

The past couple weeks have been crazy busy trying to get things ready for little Miss Madison. It's far from finished, but I wanted to post some sneak peak pictures and video of the nursery, so ya'll can see a few of the projects we have been working on.

We have the perfect bedroom in our home for the nursery. Madison's room actually adjoins our master bedroom. You also can't tell from the pictures, but she has an nice big walk-in closet for storage. (If she's like her Mama, she will fill it with SHOES!) Rob painted all the trim white and the walls are a perfect pale yellow.

We went with white furniture that will grow in different stages with her. He bed will convert to a toddler bed, then to a double bed when she's ready. Rob also had the great idea to not use a changing table, but instead, buy an unfinished dresser from the Orange Crate and paint it. Don't worry, we used all non-toxic paint.

The rocker is the only non-white piece in the room. but it was a "MUST-HAVE" for Rob. It's a Dutalier glider and ottoman that we originally found months ago at Babies-R-Us. Little did we know then how popular they were or that we would be driving to Atlanta, the one store in the entire South East that had the rocker in stock! I'm sure it will be worth it when we're awake for those 2am feedings! It was also very important to Rob that Madison have the print "Jesus and the Lamb" by Katherine Brown. It was in Jackson's nursery too.

Accents for the room included a new chandelier from the Pottery Barn and white Chinese paper lanterns hung over the bed. I haven't done much in the way of wall decor yet, because I want to leave plenty of room for pictures. We've chosen to use Megan Forehand as our maternity, newborn and 6-month photographer. (More on her and the photos to come!)
